TO OUR COMPANY

With over thirty years experience of providing specialist sculpted items and services to the museum and heritage sector, we are still passionate about what we do. We are large enough to supply major museums in the UK and across the globe, but small enough to ensure that you still get individual care and attention. Many of our clients are regular customers who return again and again because they know that they can depend on us as well as the quality of what we produce.

COMPANY

HISTORY

H&H Sculptors was started by Garry Hall in 1984. His training as a sculptor and experience of managing the art department of an international company in the film industry enabled him to guide H&H Sculptors to becoming a limited company in 1999.

Early successes with specialist ranges of figures developed for the Museum of London and the National Army Museum paved the way for H&H Sculptors to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of textile conservation grade mannequins. The 1980’s boom in heritage projects also resulted in a growing reputation for creating highly realistic figures and tableaux. These are a feature in museums and heritage centres across Europe – and as far afield as Japan.

H&H Sculptors have continued to develop and now supply a range of museum display related products and services including exhibition design and a very successful range of realistic horses. For many years, approximately half of everything that we design and produce has been exported and our reputation is truly international.

OUR TEAM

H&H Sculptors is a family-run business. Although Garry Hall is the managing director and senior designer, the daily running of the company is managed by his wife; Kathryn. Their eldest son, Forrest, is a design graduate from the Royal College of Art and also works for the company. Long standing full-time employees include Craig, who looks after the sculpting of our realistic figures and Paul, who oversees production of the textile conservation grade mannequins. Both Craig and Paul have M.A.’s in Fine art – as do many of our other staff. This core team is supplemented and assisted by a number of regular freelance artists whose individual skills are matched to meet the demands of whatever our current projects require.
